I love digital! I really do! Digital photography has made my job and my life soooooo much easier than working with film. Unfortunately there's a downside to the digital age. Too many people get caught up in the technical aspect of photography, which for me, is a bad thing!
If you pick up any high street photo magazine or go on flickr or some other random photo based website, you'll find a million and one guides and tutorials on this lighting technique, or that photoshop style.... all of which is mostly irrelevant!

The reason it's irrelevant is that the photographic process should start with an idea, or a scenario... not a technique! So many people say they lack inspiration or don't know what to shoot. This is because they're doing things backwards. It's like having a car and trying to think of somewhere to drive to... most people won't be able to decide, because there are so many possibilities. Photography is the same... decide where you want to go, before you decide how you want to get there!
