Choosing the Right Hiking Boots

One of my New Years resolutions for last year was to be more like James Bond. As I said in my blog post about it, in any situation he’s capable and ready for whatever comes his way. It’s a very masculine trait, and for the brief time I was in the cub scouts as a kid, I remember the motto as ‘be prepared’.

I’ve never been one for ‘hiking’. I love walking, and will spend all day wandering cities around the world, but trekking through the outdoors has just never really been a huge part of my life. Not because I’m adverse to it, it’s just never happened all that often. The result of that is a serious lack of the right gear, notably footwear!

Carnivore Diet - Week Nine

I started week 9 of my carnivore diet experiment with a trip to the butcher. I got myself a big slab of ribeye and for the second time, 3 slices of calves liver. Liver is still not my favourite, but it’s so healthy I’m gonna hopefully get used to it. Would help if I could work out how to present it in a more attractive way haha!

So steak and liver for dinner was my first meal of what would turn out to be an interesting week for this diet.

NYC Behind the Scenes Video

I’m a bad youtuber. I know the key to growing on YouTube as a platform is consistency, but editing videos takes way longer than I can be bothered with. Olympus PEN x NYC

Back in May I found myself ticking off the number one place in the world I’d never been... New York City! People were usually shocked when I told them I’d never visited NYC. It was always somewhere I’d longed to see, but the opportunity just never came around until recently.

Fortunately Olympus decided to use New York as the backdrop for promotional images for the new blue version of their E-PL9 camera, along with a whole host of other content they were looking to capture. To say I jumped at the chance would be an understatement!

Notes & Noses - Expanding my Fragrance Arsenal

I wrote a while back about wanting to learn more about fragrance, and more specifically, get away from the typical man thing of having a single scent that I wear all the time, every day, for years and years!

I’ve found myself watching an increasing amount of fragrance review videos on YouTube, which is all well and good, but you can’t smell any of the recommendations through a screen. In an ideal world, I’d like to attend some sort of workshop to teach me more, but in lieu of that, I came up with a genius plan, which also had the added bonus of making use of some otherwise dead time!

Coco's Tea Party in Antigua

Just wanted to share a link to Ella Gregory's (Coco's Tea Party) blog post from our trip to Antigua with Olympus PEN. We took the Olympus PEN E-PL8 and the Olympus Tough TG-5 with us to Carlisle Bay last month and had a great time!

I helped Ella create a post all about capturing great moments whilst on holiday.
