Making my own Swiss Army Knife

As I’ve gotten older, despite my best efforts, apparently it’s inevitable that I’m going to turn into my parents. My Dad has always been into old movies, and history, and as time’s gone on, I’ve found myself more and more into learning about the history of things, and being drawn to anything with tradition and heritage.

A couple of weeks ago, I was spending a day out and about at press days, and whilst at Modus PR, I spotted their Victorinox display, with a bunch of pieces and tools in the corner. Turns out, they were giving the opportunity to make your very own Swiss Army Knife! Unfortunately for me, the guy was on his lunch break, but they offered to take my details, and rearrange for me to visit their flagship store on New Bond Street to not only make my own, but also to have it personalised. How could I say no?

Childhood Nostalgia

Maybe it’s a mid life crisis, I’m on a bit of a nostalgia trip right now. It’s fun looking back at some of the things you did or enjoyed during your childhood. As a kid you do what you like, rather than what others think is cool. It’s something that’s missing in this modern social media world. So I’ve been looking back at who I used to be, and getting back in touch with my inner child.

What’s amazed me is how many aspects of my life growing up are still relevant to the things I’m interested now. This post is quite long, so I recommend getting a cup of your favourite childhood beverage, sitting back and coming on a journey with me through some of the things that have defined me as a person, and what I plan to embrace more of in the future!

Blogiversary!

Despite only returning to the whole blogging thing a few weeks ago, turns out today is a bit of a birthday. My first ever blog post was December 15th 2007... literally 10 years ago!!!!

Now obviously I’m not claiming to have blogged consistently for the entirety of the past 10 years. I haven’t blogged at all (besides the odd Guest blog on other people’s) for he past 4 years, but it’s still kinda crazy to think about the idea of blogging being that old, when we still talk about it being a ‘new thing’.
