Fragrance Review - Zara Vibrant Leather

I wouldn’t normally be interested in own brand fragrances from the high street, but I’d heard some mutterings that Zara’s offerings were surprisingly good, so figured I’d give a couple a whirl. Although listed on the website at £19.99 for 120ml of Eau de Parfum, I picked mine up in store for £12.99, so Vibrant Leather is nothing if not good value for money! So even if this is mediocre, you can’t really go wrong with it right?

The perfumer who created Vibrant Leather for Zara is Jerome Epinette. Other brands he’s created fragrances for include Atelier Cologne, who I’m a huge fan of, with Clementine California being on of my top summer fragrances, and Musc Impériale, which has become one of my favourite scents for Autumn.

Fragrance Review - Atelier Cologne Musc Impérial

Of all the fragrances in my ever expanding collection, one of my favourites is by Atelier Cologne. I picked up my bottle of Clementine California at the airport before heading off to New York for work, and it’s one of the scents I wore most over the summer. If you like fresh citrusy vibes, you really need to check it out!

Anyway, I was super excited then Atelier Cologne asked if I wanted to try one of their other fragrances. A few days later and I had a bottle of the 2015 released Musc Impérial, along with a second bottle of Clementine California! Yay!!!!!

This time last year, out of he blue, I received an email asking if I wanted to try the new offering from Roja Dove... Elysium.

Fragrance Review - Guerlain Héritage

Traditionally I've always worn fresh clean fragrances, but lately I've wanted to expand to some slightly heavier more masculine scents. I decided to pop into TK Maxx to see if they had anything discounted, and stumbled across this bottle of Héritage by Guerlain. Unfortunately, it was sealed in a plastic surround with no testers available, so it was a bit of a blind buy. I did, however, check the note breakdown on Fragrantica first.

Notes & Noses - Expanding my Fragrance Arsenal

I wrote a while back about wanting to learn more about fragrance, and more specifically, get away from the typical man thing of having a single scent that I wear all the time, every day, for years and years!

I’ve found myself watching an increasing amount of fragrance review videos on YouTube, which is all well and good, but you can’t smell any of the recommendations through a screen. In an ideal world, I’d like to attend some sort of workshop to teach me more, but in lieu of that, I came up with a genius plan, which also had the added bonus of making use of some otherwise dead time!
