Top 5 Winter Fragrances For Men in 2018

When it comes to fragrance, I’ve always been a fresh citrussy kind of guy. Aquatic accords and bergamot notes have always formed the backbone of what I would wear daily. The thing is, whilst they work really well during the summer months, once the nights draw in and the weather turns cold, they just don’t have the same feel.

My winter fragrance wardrobe is rather limited, but I do have 5 fragrances that I’m going to be rotating through for different occasions for the next few months. There are a few I don’t own as of yet, that would probably make this list, but I like to keep things real and showcase what I’m genuinely going to wear this winter.

Fragrance Review - Atelier Cologne Musc Impérial

Of all the fragrances in my ever expanding collection, one of my favourites is by Atelier Cologne. Fragrance Review - Atelier Cologne Clementine California

I’d never heard of Atelier Cologne before my trip to New York, but that all changed when got to the airport before my flight. I deliberately arrived early to spend a lot of time in Duty Free trying out fragrances and learning about what I liked and didn’t light. It was super informative, and you can read all about it here.

Whilst wandering around the fragrance offerings that Heathrow’s Terminal 5 had to offer, I made a friend in one of the sales assistants in the Tom Ford concession. She became my guide, and was amazing!

Notes & Noses - Expanding my Fragrance Arsenal

I wrote a while back about wanting to learn more about fragrance, and more specifically, get away from the typical man thing of having a single scent that I wear all the time, every day, for years and years!

I’ve found myself watching an increasing amount of fragrance review videos on YouTube, which is all well and good, but you can’t smell any of the recommendations through a screen. In an ideal world, I’d like to attend some sort of workshop to teach me more, but in lieu of that, I came up with a genius plan, which also had the added bonus of making use of some otherwise dead time!
