Fragrance Review - Fan Di Fendi Acqua

Fan Di Fendi Acqua is a super cheapie and yet another one of my blind buys. It was released in 2013 as a flanker to Fan Di Fendi. With all the usual fresh notes I like, I didn’t think I could go wrong with this one.

The ad campaign featured Mark Ronson, before the release of Uptown Funk with Bruno Mars a year later, in a crisp white suit against a backdrop of warm blue ocean and sky. This all evokes the idea of where Fan di Fendi Acqua’s fragrance journey should take you.

Fragrance Review - Cartier Déclaration

I'll be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of this the first time I spray it on, but it's really beginning to grow on me... a lot! I saw a couple of reviews online of this, and considering how cheap it is, I figured I'd give it a shot.

Originally released in 1998, I believe the latest reformulation was in 2010, but don't quote me on that. According to Cartier, the Déclaration collection is 'a fragrance for saying the things that matter. An emotional fragrance leaving a woody, spiced trail enlivened with a note of freshness.' and this particular variant is 'a fresh perfume, spicy and woody with the power and majesty of cedar, brightened with cardamom.'

Fragrance Review - Ferrari Bright Neroli

I’ve wanted a Neroli fragrance for a while. It’s a scent taken from the bitter orange tree, and rumour has it, that it’s one of the ingredients in Coca-Cola’s secret recipe... and I love Coca-Cola! I also love citrus scents (trying to decide which of the zesty lemon fragrances to get).

I saw that Ferrari’s Bright Neroli was getting lots of positive reviews on YouTube, and whilst I usually disregard brands like Ferrari when it comes to anything other than cars, for the price this is going for, I thought why not.

Fragrance Review - Mont Blanc ‘Individuel’

Originally launched in 2003, Mont Blanc ‘Individuel’ is often compared to Creed’s Original Santal, despite that coming out a few years later. I’ve never smelled Original Santal, so can’t comment on that, but what I can tell you about is what I think of Individuel.

This was a complete blind buy from Amazon due to seeing it discounted massively. I love the Mont Blanc brand, and long for one of their fountain pens, even though I rarely do any kind of long form handwriting these days!

I Built a Gaming PC!

It often surprises people that I’m actually a massive geek. I’m a child of the 80’s, so things like Star Wars and Star Trek we’re important parts of growing up. We always had a computer in the house for as long as I can remember. We started with a32K BBC Micro, before I bought a second hand48K ZX Sinclair Spectrum(which I still have at Mum and Dad’s somewhere!)

I still have my original Gameboy sitting on the shelf of my flat. It still works, although I only have Tetris here. My copies of Super Mario, Kirby’s Dreamland and Megaman 3 are somewhere at my Mum & Dad’s with my Spectrum.

Unexpected Face Care Shopping

I’m pretty rubbish when it comes to my skincare. From time to time, I will buy products and use them religiously for about a week, but eventually stop. Part of this is due to my own laziness, but also due to my skin not really liking too much in the way of creams etc.

Well last night I was the victim of social media advertising, and the epicness of modern technology and services 😂. Minding my own business on my sofa swiping as I often do, with laid back lounge music playing in the background, I saw an advert for L’Oreal’s new Barber Club range of men’s products. I don’t know what happened, but I was immediately compelled to go on Amazon and buy them! What’s even crazier is that I used Amazon Now, so they came within a couple of hours! This is the future, I’m telling you!
