Movember Update

Quick little update on how my moustache is coming along for Movember. I’ve got past the initial, awkward, in between phase of it just looking like nothing, thankfully! A few people are actually commenting on it, which means we’re venturing into the territory of it being a credible face adornment. I’m not quite at the point where I can look at styling it or training it too much into any particular shape, and it’s still a little messy and patchy around the edges.

Movember Update

Thought I should do a little update on my upper lip progress for Movember. The idea is that on November 1st, you should shave everything off completely, and then spend the month growing a full and luscious moustache. It’s been about a week since I shaved it all off, and progress is slower than I’d hoped for. At this point, I’m kind of looking at it and wondering if I’ll even be able to grow a decent mouth brow.

That being said, it has only been a week, and this is supposed to be a month long process, so I still have a long way to go before I’ll need to worry too much about my prowess in the lip warming department.

Movember

Too many men are dying far too young. Around three quarters of all suicides are committed by men, and it’s currently the biggest killer of men under 50. Movember started back in 2003 when two Australian friends, having decided that the moustache needed to be brought back into fashion, decided to try and raise money for charity, specifically a mens health oriented one. The Movember movement was born.

Carnivore Diet Update - October

This diet has got me questioning everything I know right now. Aside from it making me distrust a lot of mainstream science and nutrition, but then I still live in a perpetual state of ‘what if I’m wrong?’ I can’t deny how good I feel and the effect that this diet has had on my body though. My biggest thing is that, whilst I feel great and for the foreseeable future, see no reason to stop, I don’t want my diet to be at the expense of life enjoyment. In Milan last month, there was a part of me that felt like I was missing out on sampling local dishes. That being said, although it was my first time in Milan, I’ve been to Italy many times, so it’s not like I’ve never experienced proper local Italian food.

Decisions Decisions - Smart Phones and Ecosystems

I’m in a quandary! We live in a connected smart phone world and the device you choose, is the one you’re going to have to live with day in and day out, come rain or shine… so it’s important to make the right decision!

I’ve always been an iPhone guy. I had the LG Prada phone back in 2007, before the iPhone was released in the UK, and then since then, I’ve only ever had Apple products. Obviously I’ve been aware of other brands of device, but I’ve never really been interested in them… until now!
