Pleasingly Priced Peacoat Perfection

I’m very impulsive when it comes to shopping. It’s why I suck at buying things online. I much prefer to wander around aimlessly and then grab something that catches my eye!

I went out last Saturday because I wanted some black leather gloves (turns out, not as easy to get as you might think!). Anyway, I’ve been a bit of a New Look convert of late. My favourite ripped black jeans are from New Look and I wear them all the time! Whilst making a beeline for the accessories rack for some gloves, I caught this Peacoat out of the corner of my eye.

I got my first ever Peacoat last year from H&M when I went to London Fashion Week in just a tshirt for some absurd reason and promptly froze! That one is now far too big for me, so I thought I’d take a look and see if this New Look offering would be a suitable replacement.

The two things I instantly liked were that it was double breasted (really into double breasted at the moment), and the Ulster collar. I tried it on, it fit, and I promptly took it to the till. At £69.99 it was reasonably priced for a wool coat... but then it went through the till at at £49.99. I said to the girl on the till ‘wow, didn’t know it was in the sale!’. She took a look at the label and said, hang on, that’s not right. I instantly thought I should have kept quiet... but no... she then put it in again.... £30.00!!! But it didn’t stop there!!! She then said ‘we’ve also got an extra 20% off everything today!’ I got this wool Peacoat for £24!!!!!

Being impulsive isn’t always a bad thing after all!
